Born in Charleston, South Carolina, second oldest in a family of six children she traveled extensively as an
army brat and later on as an adult.

Maggie stopped on Amelia Island 30 years ago to spend the night at the Bailey House B&B and fell instantly,
madly in love with the miniature version of her birthplace, Charleston, S.C. Purchased a home in the historic
district within three months and raised her two children, Tania and Clife in the community of an extended
family. She is now the grandmother of her fishing buddy, Andrew and has now returned home to Charleston
for the next phase of family and writing.

Maggie began writing short stories while in high school and over the years envisioned becoming an author,
book store owner or librarian..
was Group leader of the Florida Writers Association, Amelia Island Chapter
and served as a volunteer for the Amelia Island Book Island Festival and was  the founder of the annual
"Local Authors Market Place".
Her dream came true in more ways than one with the publication of not one
book, but three and another coming soon along and with the purchase of Amelia Island's premier family
oriented book store, "Books Plus"
; which she has now closed with her return to her birth place..

She is presently working on a sequel to Amelia’s Secrets, and Amelia Island's Golden Years, Silver tears.
